Start-up savvy, founding innovative micro enterprises is my passion.
In 2007 I founded Wellington Dentures Ltd, a clinical dental laboratory. As Managing Director, my focus was on innovation to create a sophisticated denture clinic and laboratory. Crowning achievements included helping vulnerable patients restore their smile and dignity, fostering and supporting employees to develop their full potential and being a community pioneer of digital denture provision. This special journey culminated with a self brokered company trade sale in 2021.
In 2007 I co-founded an industry first, SaaS (Software as a Service) practice management tool, tailor made for Denturism. Responsibilities included co-developing a business plan, tool specifications, legal and shareholder agreements, concept launch at industry conferences and successful execution of sales and marketing strategies. The role necessitated international travel to promote at key Australasian events, lecturing at conferences and online workshops. Negotiated a UK sales agent contract. This tool in now the industry leader.
In addition, I've funded and project managed residential construction from napkin concept to council sign off. Never arrogant, tasks ranged from shovelling dirt to drainlaying and more, understanding and engaging in every step brought huge satisfaction.
My career objective is to utilize two decades of entrepreneurial experience in a sector that makes the world a better place; Denturism.
